In 2004 the University of Delaware was awarded a $10 million USAID contract to bring the expertise of UD's Lerner College of Business and Economics to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Center for International Studies was a major contributor in securing the contract and provides on-going administrative and logistical support in its implementation. Under the contract, Lerner College has entered into a partnership with the University of Sarajevo's Faculty of Economics (UNSA-FES) to establish the Sarajevo Graduate School of Business (SGSB). The new school will offer a two-year MBA degree recognized by both UD and UNSA, as well as provide short-term professional development courses to the local business community.
